- We are our brother's keepers, and the continent of Africa is in dire need of our support.
- To contain the spread of AIDS, we must transform how health care is delivered.
- We must begin a community–based delivery system to involve village and community leaders, teach AIDS prevention, and encourage those who are reluctant to come forward for AIDS testing.
- We must build community–based health information centers in the countries where they are most needed.
- We must train local staff and use outreach workers in the urban and rural areas where our clinics will be located. They must travel to remote areas to provide voluntary testing.
- We must employ a multimedia approach, classroom instruction, radio broadcasts, pamphlets, brochures, and individual counseling.
- We must continue to serve through people like you and the foundations in America to stop the spread of AIDS, until a cure can be found.
